Position Summary
The Wellness Director is responsible for overseeing all clinical operations within the Assisted Living (CBRF) and Residential Care Apartment Complex (RCAC). This position ensures compliance with state regulations, supervises clinical staff, promotes quality resident care, and provides leadership to the caregiving and medication aide teams.
Essential Job Duties
- Oversee resident care services in accordance with Wisconsin CBRF and RCAC regulations.
- Conduct and oversee resident assessments, reassessments, and service plans.
- Supervise caregivers, medication aides, and clinical staff.
- Provide leadership, coaching, mentoring, and performance management.
- Assist with hiring, onboarding, training, evaluations, and disciplinary action.
- Monitor staffing needs and ensure adequate coverage.
- Coordinate communication with physicians, families, pharmacies, hospice agencies, and healthcare providers.
- Oversee medication management, audits, physician orders, and medication room compliance.
- Investigate medication errors, resident incidents, complaints, and concerns.
- Monitor resident falls, weights, skin concerns, behavioral changes, and hospitalizations.
- Conduct routine chart audits and documentation reviews.
- Maintain compliance with state regulations and company policies.
- Assist during state surveys and plans of correction.
- Maintain emergency preparedness procedures.
- Coordinate ordering of medications, medical equipment, and supplies.
- Lead resident care conferences and family meetings.
- Oversee admissions, transfers, and discharges.
- Promote a positive, resident-centered culture.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Executive Director.
Qualifications
- Previous management or supervisory experience required.
- Previous clinical or healthcare experience required.
- Experience in Assisted Living, CBRF, RCAC, Long-Term Care, or healthcare leadership preferred.
- Knowledge of Wisconsin Assisted Living regulations preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to coach, mentor, and develop employees.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Proficient with electronic health records and Microsoft Office.
- Commitment to providing exceptional resident-centered care.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and assist residents throughout the shift.
- Ability to respond quickly in emergency situations.
Schedule
- Full-Time
- Occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
