Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Paediatrician to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive medical care to infants, children, and adolescents, ensuring their health and wellbeing through expert diagnosis, treatment, and preventive care. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver outstanding paediatric services. The position involves engaging in clinical research initiatives and applying specialised knowledge in areas such as anatomy, medication administration, and patient care across various settings including hospitals, nursing homes, and home care environments.

Duties

Conduct thorough medical examinations of paediatric patients to assess health status and diagnose illnesses or injuries.
Develop personalised treatment plans tailored to the needs of each child, including medication administration and therapeutic interventions.
Monitor patient progress and adjust treatments as necessary, ensuring optimal health outcomes.
Collaborate with specialists in fields such as ICU, hospice care, or senior care when required for complex cases.
Engage in clinical research projects aimed at advancing paediatric healthcare practices.
Educate parents and guardians on health maintenance, disease prevention, and management strategies.
Utilise medical imaging techniques to assist in diagnosis when appropriate.
Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations.
Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to coordinate patient care effectively.
Contribute to public health initiatives focused on child health promotion and disease prevention.

Requirements

Medical degree recognised by the General Medical Council (GMC) with full registration or eligibility for registration as a Paediatrician.
Proven experience in patient care within paediatrics; ICU experience or nursing home experience is advantageous.
Knowledge of anatomy relevant to paediatric medicine and familiarity with medication administration protocols.
Experience in specialised areas such as clinical research, medical imaging, or public health is desirable.
Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with children, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
Ability to work under pressure in fast-paced environments such as hospitals or emergency settings.
Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with advances in paediatric medicine.
