Job Title: Head Cook – Casual All-American Restaurant

Location: Dock of Dubay
Job Type: Full-Time
Reports To: Owner

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and dependable Cook to lead our kitchen operations while actively preparing meals in a casual, All-American restaurant setting. This is a working role—you’ll be responsible for food preparation, and ensuring quality, consistency, and speed of service. Our menu features classic American favorites like burgers, sandwiches, salads, and comfort food.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and cook menu items efficiently, consistently, and to standard recipes
Ensure all food leaving the kitchen meets quality, portion, and presentation standards
Oversee kitchen cleanliness, organization, and compliance with food safety standards
Train, mentor, and support cooks, prep staff, and dishwashers
Help manage food and supply inventory; communicate ordering needs to management
Monitor ticket times and work with FOH staff to ensure prompt service
Maintain a calm, focused, and solution-oriented presence during busy hours

Requirements:

1+ years of experience as a cook in a fast-paced, casual dining environment
Strong knowledge of classic American fare and short-order cooking techniques
Ability to manage time, multitask, and work efficiently under pressure
Excellent communication and team leadership skills
ServSafe (or equivalent) certification or willingness to obtain
Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
