Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Leasing Agent to join our property management team in the Wausau area. The Leasing Agent is responsible for assisting prospective tenants through the leasing process, maintaining high occupancy levels, and providing excellent customer service to current residents. This role combines sales, administrative work, and relationship-building within residential apartment communities.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct apartment tours for prospective residents
- Respond to phone, email, and online leasing inquiries promptly
- Explain lease terms, rental policies, and community amenities
- Process rental applications, background checks, and lease paperwork
- Maintain accurate tenant and prospect records
- Coordinate move-ins and move-outs
- Assist with lease renewals and resident retention efforts
- Monitor market trends and competitor pricing
- Maintain professional relationships with residents and vendors
- Help ensure model units and common areas are clean and presentable
- Work with maintenance staff to address resident concerns quickly.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1-3 years of experience in property management is preferred but not required.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Knowledge of property management software (e.g., AppFolio, Yardi, Buildium) is a plus.
- Basic understanding of landlord-tenant laws and leasing practices.
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities.
- Reliable, professional, and detail-oriented.
Working Conditions:
- May require occasional evening or weekend work.
- Some travel between properties (if managing multiple locations).
- Work may involve both office and on-site property responsibilities.
