Full Job Description

We are looking for an Office Assistant who is organized, dependable, and enjoys helping people. This is a hands-on position that helps keep the Haskell County Water Company office running smoothly and provides administrative support to the Board of Directors.

What You'll Do

No two days are exactly alike, but your responsibilities may include:

Handle the day-to-day needs of the HCWC office.
Assist with payroll, invoices, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and other financial tasks.
Enter and maintain financial information in QuickBooks.
Answer phones, respond to emails, and assist customers, members, and visitors.
Prepare correspondence, documents, meeting materials, and other office records.
Provide administrative support to the Board of Directors and assist with Board meetings and communications.
Maintain accurate and organized company records and files.
Assist with office purchasing, supplies, scheduling, and other administrative needs.
Communicate with customers, vendors, employees, and Board members as needed.
Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally.
Step in wherever needed to help keep the office running smoothly.

Can manage multiple priorities and stay on top of details.
Is comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
Has strong computer skills.
Is comfortable working with numbers and financial information.
Takes initiative and follows tasks through to completion.

Preferred Qualifications

Previous office or administrative experience.
Experience with payroll and/or QuickBooks.
Experience with bookkeeping or financial recordkeeping.
Experience supporting a Board, nonprofit, utility, or similar organization is a plus.

Pay: $31,500.00 - $38,500.00 per year

Work Location: In person
