GEI Utility Construction is looking for an experienced Hydrovac Operator to join our team. The position requires dedication and commitment, as the successful candidate will be expected to work hard and stay on schedule. The ideal candidate will also be able to work independently. Established utility construction company seeking HYDROVAC OPERATOR with CDL- Class A or B.
40-60+ Hours a week. Competitive Pay & Health Insurance Available.
Some travel may be required.
Job Description:
- Knowing, understanding, communicating, and ensuring compliance with the safety regulations (Occupational Health and Safety Regulation and Code) and company safety policy and procedures.
- Operating hydro excavation equipment in a safe and effective manner.
- Excellent customer service and public interaction skills
- Apply good problem solving and conflict resolution skills
- Clear understanding of safe excavation practices
- Work directly with management to plan and organize project needs
- Effectively communicate equipment maintenance needs
Minimum Qualifications:
- EXPERIENCE RUNNING HYDROVAC TRUCKS REQUIRED FOR FULL PAY - MINIMUM 3 YEARS
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL A or B - A preferred)
- Reading and understanding of plans and specifications
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to pass a 10 panel drug screen, and background check
- Experience in tractor-trailer (Tankers)
- Proficiency in operating vehicles with manual transmission
- Knowledge of vacuum truck operations
- Ability to perform minor automotive repair tasks
- Capability to load and unload cargo efficiently

Responsibilities:
- Drive a truck in a safe and responsible manner.
- Maintain a valid commercial driver's license and up to date CDL physical.
- Adhere to all applicable laws and regulations while driving.
- Maintain the truck in good working condition.
- Load and unload cargo in a safe and efficient manner.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck and trailer.
