Compliance Specialist I

Department: Compliance

Employment Status: Full Time Hourly, Non-Exempt - Benefited

Salary: $23.07 - $28.83 (Commensurate with experience and qualifications)

Location: Lodi (1) Supervises Others: No

Reports To: Chief Compliance Officer/Compliance Manager

Therefore, this position description is designed to outline primary duties, qualifications and job scope, but not limit the incumbent nor the organization to just the work identified. It is our expectation that each employee will offer his/her services wherever and whenever necessary to ensure the success of our endeavors.

Job Summary

The individual in this position performs a variety of functions related to HMDA data information collection and reporting along with consumer loan monitoring activities. They also maintain regulatory Bank compliance training records. Individual must have the ability to learn and apply new information quickly or be familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedures of the bank’s regulatory banking laws & regulations. This individual works under general supervision. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.

Essential Job Responsibilities

Home Mortgage Disclosure Act - Regulation C

For assigned files, pull file and gather required HMDA data elements
- Tag information gathered in file
Geocode addresses from the FFIEC Geocoding System
Enter the HMDA data to the CRA WIZ HMDA Data Software
Validate the accuracy of the data input
Maintain detailed records of all work performed

Help build out the Bank’s Lending Monitoring Compliance Commercial non-funded applications
- Ensure all non-funded application data matches the Loan Center log
- Validate the accuracy of the draft report
  - Issue status report to management

Policy Procedure Manuals (PPMs) and Circulars

Provide back up support on the Bank’s PPMs and Circulars
Issue properly formatted material within expected timeframes
Keep detailed records of all work performed.

Recordkeeping & Reporting

Create & maintain all department files (which includes miscellaneous filings)
Handle departmental supply inventory
Box up items and place storage label on the box to be sent to storage

Other duties as assigned by Chief Compliance Officer / Compliance Manager

Education & Skills Required

Education and Experience

The ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing in a professional and effective manner with Bank personnel
The successful completion of at least an Associate of Arts Degree (AA) in business or related focus preferred

Strong organizational skills
Ability to learn new information and apply it to real life situations
Prioritize workflow and complete multiple tasks simultaneously and accurately
Demonstrate ability to exercise good judgment, initiative and tact in dealing with Bank staff
Present a professional, business-like manner and appearance
Maintain confidentiality
