Full Job Description

Superior Skilled Trades is seeking a Tool Room Supervisor for a start in Lathrop, CA!

WEEKLY PAY --- OVERTIME --- PER DIEM

PAY: $31-$33/hour (based upon experience)
PER DIEM: $100/day for days worked (if outside of 60 miles from job site)
HOURS: Shifts will be 8-10-hour workdays, 5 days per week (50+ hours/week)
SCHEDULE: Workdays will be Monday-Friday; 6:00am – 4:30pm
START DATE: mid-July
DURATION: 3+ months

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and organized Tool Room Manager to oversee the daily operations of our tool room and ensure the availability, maintenance, tracking, and distribution of tools, equipment, and consumables for construction and industrial projects. The ideal candidate will have strong inventory management skills, experience managing tool room personnel, and a commitment to safety, accuracy, and operational efficiency.

OSHA 10-Hour Construction Certification is required (or be willing to get).

Responsibilities:

Manage all tool room operations, including issuing, receiving, tracking, and maintaining tools and equipment.
Maintain accurate inventory records using computerized inventory management systems.
Conduct routine audits and cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
Coordinate tool repairs, calibrations, inspections, and preventative maintenance schedules.
Monitor tool usage and identify lost, damaged, or missing equipment.
Purchase, receive, and stock tools, supplies, and consumable materials as needed.
Supervise tool room staff and provide training on procedures, safety requirements, and inventory controls.
Ensure tools and equipment meet company safety standards and regulatory requirements.
Maintain organized storage areas and implement best practices for tool accountability.
Generate inventory and utilization reports for project management and leadership teams.
Collaborate with project managers, field supervisors, and warehouse personnel to ensure timely availability of tools and equipment.
Enforce company policies regarding tool issuance, returns, and equipment care.
Support jobsite mobilization and demobilization activities as required.

Qualifications Required:

OSHA 10-Hour Construction Certification.
3+ years of experience in tool room management, warehouse management, inventory control, or a related field.
Strong knowledge of construction tools, equipment, and materials.
Experience with inventory management software and Microsoft Office applications.
Ability to maintain accurate records and perform inventory audits.
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a warehouse or construction environment.

Preferred:

Previous supervisory or management experience.
Experience supporting large-scale construction, industrial, manufacturing, or commissioning projects.
Forklift certification and experience operating material handling equipment.
Knowledge of procurement and vendor management processes.

Additional Requirements:

Must be eligible to work in the United States
Must have reliable transportation to the job site
Pre-employment drug screen and background check are required
