Salary: $110,000 – $150,000+ annually, based on experience, CPA designation, leadership responsibilities, technical expertise, and the ability to independently manage client relationships.

As a Tax Manager, you'll work directly with the firm's partners and play an important role in the continued growth of our tax practice. You'll have the opportunity to:

Responsibilities
- Prepare and review complex federal, state, and local tax returns for:
- Individuals
- Partnerships
- S Corporations
- C Corporations
- Trusts and Estates
- Nonprofit Organizations
- Prepare selected high-complexity tax returns and consulting engagements, including multi-entity businesses, high-net-worth individuals, trusts, and specialized industries
- Manage multiple tax engagements from planning through delivery
- Supervise, mentor, and develop tax staff and senior accountants
- Review workpapers and provide timely feedback and coaching
- Identify tax planning opportunities and provide proactive recommendations throughout the year
- Research complex federal, state, and local tax issues
- Assist partners with consulting, planning, and special projects
- Meet directly with clients regarding tax planning, compliance, and business advisory matters
- Respond to IRS and state tax authority inquiries
- Review quarterly tax projections and estimated tax payments
- Help manage workflow, scheduling, and tax season priorities
- Participate in staff development
- Recommend process improvements and technology enhancements within the tax department
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
- CPA preferred
- Minimum 7 years of recent public accounting tax experience
- Demonstrated experience supervising and mentoring staff
- Extensive experience preparing and reviewing complex individual and business tax returns
- Strong technical knowledge of federal and multi-state taxation
- Experience managing multiple client engagements simultaneously
- Excellent communication, leadership, and client relationship skills
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple deadlines

- Microsoft Excel and Microsoft 365
- QuickBooks Desktop and Online
