Located in Wilton, CT, conveniently located off the Merritt Parkway, our 148 bed nursing facility, is a leading provider of healthcare services from short-term rehab in the post-acute care realm to long term care. As the Director of Nursing, you will create a collaborative and efficient workplace with attention to quality standards and policies. There, all personnel will be able to do their best in caring for patients.

The Director of Nursing should have once been a hard-working and compassionate registered nurse who steadily developed their managerial and administrative skills. Being efficient, dedicated, a good listener and a problem-solver is what will open our door for you.

The Director of Nursing oversees and evaluates all nursing personnel (registered nurses, LPN etc.)
guides staffing procedures
sets objectives and long-term goals for the nursing department
organizes and coordinates admissions, nursing and patient care procedures
develops and enforces policies aiming for legal compliance and high-quality standards
controls budgets and monitors expenditures
resolves issues and deficiencies when needed
collaborates with other departments and professionals to streamline operations

Skills

Proven experience as Director of Nursing
The Director of Nursing must have in-depth knowledge of hospital procedures and KPI/KQIs of patient care
The Director of Nursing should have great knowledge of legal regulations and best practices in healthcare
The Director of Nursing has the willingness to keep abreast of changing standards in nursing administration
The Director of Nursing must have excellent ability to lead and develop personnel have great communication and people skills
The Director of Nursing must have outstanding organizational and stress management skills and aptitude in problem-solving
The Director of Nursing must have a degree in nursing; Master’s degree in nursing or healthcare administration is a plus
The Director of Nursing must have a valid nursing and CPR certification and a current CT RN- Registered Nurse License in good standing
