Private Family Assistant & Care Companion/Nanny
Location: New Mexico, with occasional travel to Texas and Florida

Position Overview
A private family is seeking a dependable, compassionate, and highly organized Family Assistant & Care Companion to support a busy executive household.
This unique full-time position combines personal and household assistance for a working CEO with companionship and support for a young adult woman with special needs. The family maintains homes in Texas, New Mexico, and Florida, making this an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, meaningful work, and occasional domestic travel.
The ideal candidate is caring, proactive, discreet, flexible, and able to manage a range of responsibilities with professionalism and good judgment.
Primary Responsibilities
Care Companion Support
- Provide companionship, encouragement, and dependable daily support to a young adult woman with special needs.
- Assist with daily routines, recreational activities, and community involvement.
- Accompany her to appointments, shopping trips, outings, and other activities.
- Encourage independence while providing appropriate support to help her thrive in daily life.
- Help maintain a safe, positive, and engaging environment.
- Communicate effectively with family members regarding schedules, activities, and any needs or concerns.
Executive and Family Assistant Support
- Assist a busy executive CEO with personal errands and day-to-day administrative needs.
- Coordinate appointments, calendars, household schedules, and family activities.
- Run errands, including shopping, deliveries, returns, and other personal tasks.
- Help coordinate household vendors, service appointments, maintenance, and repairs.
- Assist with travel planning, reservations, packing, and trip-related preparation.
- Help organize documents, correspondence, and miscellaneous personal projects.
- Anticipate needs and help ensure the household operates smoothly and efficiently.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
Travel Requirements
- The family maintains residences in Texas, New Mexico, and Florida.
- Occasional travel between residences may be required to support the family's needs.
- Travel will generally be planned in advance, although flexibility is appreciated.
- Work-related travel expenses will be covered by the family.
- Candidates should be comfortable with air travel, overnight stays, and adjusting routines while traveling.
Qualifications
- Compassionate, patient, dependable, and trustworthy.
- Experience working with individuals with special needs, developmental disabilities, or in a caregiving role is preferred.
- Highly organized with excellent time-management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently.
- Comfortable managing multiple priorities and changing needs.
- Able to exercise discretion and maintain strict confidentiality.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Comfortable driving family vehicles.
- Able to pass a background check.
- Comfortable traveling domestically as needed.
- Non-smoker preferred.
- Previous experience as a family assistant, executive assistant, personal assistant, household manager, caregiver, care companion, or similar role is preferred.
- Valid passport is preferred but not required.
Schedule
- Monday through Friday
- 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
- Occasional flexibility may be requested for appointments, travel, special events, or other family needs.
