PRIMARY FUNCTION:
The Studio Clubhouse Assistant plays a critical role in the daily operations, youth engagement, and creative programming of the Studio Clubhouse. This position blends administrative support, member supervision, and hands-on involvement in music production spaces to ensure a safe, dynamic, and youth-centered environment. Working closely with the Studio Clubhouse Director, the Studio Clubhouse Assistant helps manage studio usage, support Club artists, maintain equipment and spaces, and contribute to a culture of creativity, collaboration, and accountability.
KEY ROLES (Essential Job Responsibilities)
· Build positive, mentoring relationships with teens participating in the Studio Clubhouse.
· Assist in facilitating music sessions and running programs (instrument lessons, recording, beat-making, songwriting, rehearsals).
· Help supervise all areas of the Studio Clubhouse space, ensuring safety, engagement, and appropriate behavior.
· Support the planning, coordination, and delivery of music workshops, performances, showcases, and community events that provide meaningful creative and performance opportunities for youth.
· Encourage youth voice, choice, and leadership in programming.
· Ensure proper use of Studio Clubhouse equipment and recording studio to keep them well maintained and in good condition, providing instructions to members on safe and responsible usage.
· Assist youth in basic operation of music technology (DAWs, microphones, interfaces).
· Monitor sound levels and activity to minimize disruption between rooms.
· Maintain visibility and awareness across spaces to support supervision and collaboration.
· Set up and break down equipment for sessions and events.
· Maintain inventory of instruments, recording gear, and digital equipment.
· Troubleshoot basic technical issues (software, connections, audio signal flow).
· Ensure proper storage and security of high-value equipment.
· Support attendance tracking, scheduling, and program documentation.
· Help foster an inclusive, welcoming, and creative environment.
· Reinforce expectations around respect, collaboration, and responsibility.
· Support a balance between structured programming and open creative time.
· Model professionalism, creativity, and positive behavior.
· Additional duties as assigned.
Program Supervision:
1. Provide constant, active supervision and ensure the safety of youth by following established policies and protocols, with the ability to manage challenging situations effectively. Interact with all members and provide motivation and encouragement.
2. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized program area by adhering to daily cleaning and maintenance procedures. Ensure the environment remains conducive to learning and development.
3. Discipline members fairly, consistently, and only according to established policies and procedures.
4. Serve as a positive role model by exemplifying professionalism, strong work ethic, and respect for others. Mentor both youth members and peers by setting a high standard of conduct.
5. Work closely with volunteers and partners, providing direction and support to ensure that they effectively contribute to program activities and member engagement.
6. Offer guidance and ensure that volunteers have the tools and knowledge they need to succeed.
Additional Responsibilities:
1. Actively participate in ongoing training sessions and professional development activities to enhance skills, knowledge, and overall program delivery.
2. Support and, when necessary, lead special events and initiatives that contribute to the growth and success of the organization and its mission.
3. Complete trainings as required.
4. May be required to help out in multiple areas as needed, contributing to the overall success of the team and mission.
RELATIONSHIPS:
Internal: Maintain close daily contact with Studio Clubhouse Director, Club staff and volunteers to receive and provide information.
External: Maintain contact as needed with community groups, schools, and others.
SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE DESIRED:
· High School diploma or GED (required).
· Minimum of 1 year of experience working with teens and/or youth programs (required).
· Basic knowledge of music production, recording, and DAW operation (required).
· Proficiency with one or more instruments (required).
· Ability to read and write basic music notation (required).
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills (required).
· Ability to manage multiple spaces and tasks simultaneously.
· Reliability, organization, and attention to detail.
· Strong commitment to youth development and music.
· Experience in a music studio, clubhouse, or creative youth setting.
· Proficiency in DAWs (e.g., Logic, Ableton, Pro Tools, FL Studio).
· Musical skills (instrumental, vocal, or production).
· Event coordination or workshop facilitation experience.
· Evening and occasional weekend hours may be required, with advanced notice.

Location: Greater Stuart Club - Downtown Stuart
Schedule: Monday to Friday with hours falling between 1:30 pm and 6:30 pm.
**Non-School Day & Summer Hours
Hours falling between 12:00 pm and 5:00 pm
**Hours could be before or after depending on
the location and situation of the day
**Requires occasional evening
& weekend work
**This is a part-time position offering $22 per hour (payable bi-weekly).
