Summary

We are seeking a skilled Machinist/Fabricator to join our team at Dexter-Russell, Inc. In this role, you will be responsible for machining and fabricating parts that meet our rigorous standards. Your expertise will contribute to maintaining our reputation for excellence in the foodservice and industrial markets.

Responsibilities

Respond to job orders effectively.
Machine and fabricate parts.
Set up and operate grinders, lathes and milling machines.
Inspect finished parts for quality and accuracy using measuring instruments and visual inspection techniques.
Work in a safe, neat, workman-like manner holding the highest ethics and standards.
Adherent to all safety protocols.

Requirements

Ability to work from blueprints and mechanical drawings as well as verbal instructions.
Strong use of critical thinking skills and adaptability to changing technology and processes.
Troubleshooting and problem solving.
Ability to communicate effectively with engineering staff.
Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a team.
Ability to safely operate hand and power tools.
Enthusiastic and highly self-motivated.
Individual must be able to fluently converse, as well as read and write in English.

Education and Experience

Trade school or equivalent training preferred.
A minimum of 5 years of work experience with both CNC and manual machines.
Experience with measuring tools, dial calipers, and micrometers.
Prototrak experience is a desired.
Fabricating and welding experience is a plus.

Physical Requirements

Must be able to stand all day, stoop, and bend.
Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds at times.
Good manual dexterity.
Eyesight 20/40 with corrective lenses.
Must be able to wear eye and hearing protection.
