Duties and Responsibilities:
- Create, modify, and optimize CNC programs for horizontal and vertical machining centers and other advanced CNC equipment.
- Review engineering drawings, specifications, and models to determine machining processes, tooling, speeds, feeds, and workholding requirements.
- Develop efficient machining strategies that improve cycle times, tool life, part quality, and overall productivity.
- Perform machine setups, prove out new programs, and make necessary adjustments before releasing jobs into production.
- Select appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and machining parameters for a variety of materials and part specifications.
- Troubleshoot programming, tooling, setup, and machining issues while working closely with machinists, engineers, and quality personnel.
- Use inspection results and production feedback to revise programs and maintain tight tolerances and consistent part quality.
- Create and maintain accurate setup sheets, tooling documentation, program revisions, and manufacturing instructions.
- Assist with automation and lights-out manufacturing processes to ensure reliable and repeatable unattended production.
