Spend Your Day Working With Dogs!
If you love dogs, enjoy being active, and take pride in doing your job well, we'd like to meet you.
Woofers Pet Resort is looking for someone who genuinely enjoys working with dogs, likes being around people, and wants to become part of a dependable team that cares deeply about the animals entrusted to us.
This isn't a job where you'll spend the day sitting behind a desk. Most of your shift is spent outdoors with groups of dogs, helping them play safely, supervising their behavior, caring for their needs, and making sure every dog has a safe, enjoyable experience. You'll also walk dogs on leash, feed them, clean kennels and play areas, and occasionally help customers.
The work is physical and fast-paced. You'll spend much of your shift outdoors whether it's a cold winter morning or a hot summer afternoon. If you enjoy staying busy and don't mind working hard, many people find that makes the day go by quickly.
Previous experience with dogs is certainly helpful, but it isn't our top priority.
We're much more interested in people who are:
- Dependable and honest
- Calm and confident around dogs
- Willing to learn and accept coaching
- Comfortable taking responsibility
- Detail-oriented
- Proud of doing quality work
- Friendly with customers and teammates
Our best employees weren't necessarily the ones with the most experience. They were the people who cared enough to do things right, worked hard every day, and continually improved.
Pay & Advancement
Starting pay is $16.00 per hour.
As you develop your skills and demonstrate greater responsibility, your pay increases in 50-cent increments up to $18.00 per hour. After 6 months employees are eligible to receive a $100-$250/month benefit supplement. How quickly you advance depends largely on your performance, reliability, and commitment to learning.
