ABOUT SUNDANCE CUSTOM STEEL

Sundance Custom Steel has served the Black Hills for 15 years, building steel panels and trim for roofing, siding and other residential, commercial and industrial projects. We've earned a great reputation across the region — and we're growing, with two locations today and more on the way. When you join our Piedmont team, your work shows up on buildings all over the Black Hills.

THE OPPORTUNITY

We're hiring an entry-level Inside Sales Representative at our Piedmont, SD store. You don't need sales experience — we'll teach you our products, our systems and how to read building plans. You'll start on the counter and phones, learning the business from the inside. Over the next 12–18 months, as you master quoting and our product line, this role is designed to grow into an outside sales position — calling on general contractors, roofers and job sites across the region.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

· Answer phones, greet walk-in customers, and turn questions into quotes.

· Learn to read building plans and estimate the materials a project needs (we train you).

· Create accurate quotes and turn them into orders.

· Enter orders and coordinate with our shop so customers get what they need, when they need it.

· Follow up with buyers to confirm quotes, specifications and delivery expectations.

· Build relationships with the contractors, roofers and builders who come back to us project after project.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

· A people person — comfortable on the phone and face-to-face at the counter.

· Basic math skills and comfort learning computer systems.

· Reliable, coachable, and hungry to grow into a bigger role.

· Customer service, retail, or construction/building materials exposure is a plus — not required.

· HS Diploma or equivalent preferred; no education requirement.

· Must be of legal working age and pass a background check and drug screening.

COMPENSATION

· Pay: Base salary plus commission on your sales. Your earning potential grows as you do.

· Growth: Structured path from inside sales to outside sales over 12–18 months, with training at every step.

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
