Full Job Description

Overview
We are looking to fill two positions:

FIRST POSITION

1. The first position is for a mobile phlebotomist to cover night time CALL from 4pm 11pm . The phlebotomist would be traveling to skilled nursing facilities to collect bloodwork for Stat draws that will be dispatched out to their phone. Once collected the specimen’s would be dropped off to our contracted hospitals.

SECOND POSITION

2. The second position is for a mobile phlebotomist to cover am run starting in first facility at 2:30 am . The phlebotomist would be traveling to skilled nursing facilities to collect am run lab work. Once collected the phlebotomist.would be dropping off to our courier location drop site

The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of phlebotomy along with a commitment to delivering quality care.

Duties

Perform blood sampling and specimen collection from patients in skilled nursing facilities.
Utilize aseptic techniques to ensure the safety and integrity of specimens collected.
Process specimens according to laboratory protocols.
Provide excellent patient service by ensuring comfort and addressing any concerns during the phlebotomy process.
Collaborate with laboratory staff to ensure timely processing of specimens.
Maintain equipment and supplies necessary for specimen collection, ensuring all tools are sterile and properly handled.
Stay updated on best practices in phlebotomy and laboratory techniques.

Qualifications

Proven experience in specimen collection processing, preferably in a mobile or clinical setting.
Proficiency in phlebotomizing techniques with a focus on patient comfort and safety.
Familiarity with laboratory procedures and blood sampling protocols.
Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on patient service.
Ability to work independently while managing time effectively across multiple locations.
Certification in phlebotomy or relevant training is preferred but not mandatory.
