Part-Time Account Executive — Managed IT Services
Commission + Guaranteed Bi-Weekly Draw
ThinkByte Studio LLC is looking for a motivated Part-Time Account Executive to help us grow our managed IT services, business technology services, and open-source business app offerings.
This is a commission-focused sales role with a guaranteed bi-weekly draw for scheduled hours worked. The ideal candidate is comfortable making cold calls, building client relationships, following up consistently, helping prepare service agreements, and coordinating new client onboarding after a sale closes.
You will help small businesses access affordable and reliable technology support, including managed IT services, Apple/Mac support, Windows support, Linux support, CRM systems, appointment scheduling systems, e-signature tools, website services, and other business technology solutions.
Responsibilities
- Make outbound cold calls to business owners and decision-makers.
- Send professional follow-up emails and messages.
- Build relationships with prospects and local businesses.
- Qualify leads and identify business technology needs.
- Schedule and conduct discovery calls.
- Explain our managed IT services, business app services, website services, and support options.
- Prepare proposals and service agreements using approved company templates.
- Help send contracts for signature through the company’s approved process.
- Coordinate new client onboarding after a sale closes.
- Collect basic onboarding information from new clients.
- Update leads, opportunities, calls, notes, and follow-ups inside the CRM.
- Work with company leadership and the technical team to ensure clients are properly handed off and supported.
- Assist with mentoring future Sales Development Representatives as the sales team grows.
Important Contract Authority Notice
This role may help prepare and send approved service agreement templates. Pricing exceptions, custom terms, legal changes, discounts, special promises, or non-standard contract language must be reviewed and approved by company leadership before being sent to a client.
Compensation
This is a commission-based Account Executive role with a guaranteed bi-weekly draw.
- Guaranteed draw: $15.00 per hour for scheduled hours worked.
- Paid bi-weekly through payroll.
- Starting schedule: approximately 15 hours per week.
- Estimated guaranteed draw: approximately $450 gross every two weeks, plus commission.
- Commission is paid on eligible closed monthly recurring service contracts after the client signs the agreement, pays the first invoice, and remains active.
Commission Plan
Commission is paid on eligible collected monthly recurring service revenue from accounts personally closed by the Account Executive.
- First 6 months of the client account: 30%
- Months 7–12 of the client account: 25%
- Years 2 and 3 of the client account: 20%
- Year 4 of the client account: 15%
- Commission ends at the beginning of Year 5.
Commission applies only to eligible recurring service revenue actually collected by the company. Commission does not apply to taxes, refunds, chargebacks, hardware resale, software resale, pass-through vendor costs, reimbursements, or one-time costs unless approved in writing.
If a client cancels, fails to pay, pauses service, or is no longer active, commission on that client account stops.

Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is professional, persistent, organized, and comfortable speaking with business owners. You do not need to be a technical expert, but you should be willing to learn basic IT service terminology and explain our services clearly.
This role is best for someone who wants to grow with an early-stage technology company and earn recurring commission by bringing in long-term clients.
The ideal candidate should also be able to think on their feet, adapt to different client conversations, and professionally represent the company.
Requirements
- Comfortable making cold calls.
- Must maintain timely and professional communication with company leadership, including regular updates and reasonable responses during scheduled work hours or agreed availability windows.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Professional phone presence.
- Organized and consistent with follow-ups.
- Comfortable using a CRM or willing to learn.
- Able to follow a sales process and update notes accurately.
- Comfortable helping move prospects from first contact to signed agreement.
- Reliable, self-motivated, and professional.
- Basic understanding of IT services, business software, websites, or technology is helpful but not required.
- Willingness to assist with mentoring Sales Development Representatives as the sales team grows.
- Ability to help identify strong future sales candidates is a plus.
Preferred Experience
- Account Executive, sales development, business development, appointment setting, customer service, or inside sales experience.
- Experience selling IT services, websites, software, SaaS, telecom, marketing services, or professional services.
- Experience working with small businesses.
- Experience using CRM systems.

Schedule
This role starts at approximately 15 hours per week. Additional hours may become available based on performance, closed clients, and company growth.
Some availability during normal business hours is required for outbound calls and client conversations.
Work Location
This role is focused on the Hampton Roads region, including Norfolk, Virginia Beach, Hampton, Newport News, Chesapeake, Portsmouth, Suffolk, and Yorktown.
