We are hiring!

We are working with a multinational pipeline and energy client that is growing and adding a Contract Administrator I to their team.

Pay Rate: $26-$28/hour (W2)

Work Type: Hybrid

Location: Houston, TX 77079

Duration: 1 Year

Job Overview

The Contract Administrator I provides administrative and operational support to the Supply Chain Management (SCM) Contracts Center team. This role is responsible for supporting contract administration activities through the preparation, formatting, routing, tracking, and filing of contractual documents while ensuring adherence to established processes, templates, and records management standards. Working under close supervision, the successful candidate will perform routine contract administration tasks, support contract request intake processes, maintain accurate documentation, and assist with the drafting and administration of agreements and amendments. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop foundational knowledge of supply chain contracting processes, systems, and best practices.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare, format, assemble, and process contractual documents, including Service Agreements, Construction Agreements, Engineering Service Agreements, Consulting Service Agreements, amendments, and other related contract documents using Client-approved contract templates.
Assist with the drafting of agreements and contract amendments in accordance with established procedures and standards.
Coordinate document routing for internal reviews, approvals, and contract execution activities.
Support Contracts Center Request (CCR) intake activities, including logging requests, validating submissions for completeness, and maintaining tracking records.
Monitor and report on CCR metrics, key performance indicators (KPIs), and workflow status as required.
Maintain accurate contract files and supporting documentation in accordance with records retention policies, document control requirements, and naming conventions.
Respond to routine inquiries regarding contract request status, documentation requirements, and process-related questions, escalating complex issues to Contract Specialists or leadership as appropriate.
Assist in maintaining contract administration records, trackers, and supporting documentation to ensure audit readiness and compliance.
Support administrative coordination activities across the SCM Contracts Center team.
Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of all contract-related documentation and administrative processes.
Maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion when handling sensitive contractual and business information.

Qualifications

Required

Post-secondary diploma, certificate, or coursework in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and administrative experience.
0–3 years of experience in an administrative, coordination, office support, or related business environment.
Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow established procedures, templates, and standardized processes.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Ability and willingness to learn enterprise systems and tools, including SharePoint, Oracle Cloud, and document management platforms.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Effective organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple routine tasks and deadlines.
Ability to work effectively in a structured, process-driven environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
Professionalism, integrity, and discretion when handling confidential information.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.

Preferred

Previous experience or exposure to procurement, contract administration, legal, supply chain, or vendor management environments.
Experience working with document management, records management, or contract tracking systems.
Familiarity with contract lifecycle processes and contract administration best practices.
Interest in building a career in supply chain management, procurement, or contract administration.
