Overview
Join our dynamic cybersecurity team as an Information Security Engineer and become a vital defender of our digital assets! In this role, you will design, implement, and manage advanced security solutions to protect our IT infrastructure, cloud environments, and network architecture. Your expertise will help us stay ahead of emerging threats by conducting vulnerability assessments, managing incident response, and ensuring compliance with industry standards such as NIST, ISO 27000 series, and FedRAMP. Responsibilities

Develop and enforce system security plans aligned with industry standards including ISO 27001, NIST standards, and FIPS guidelines.
Implement and manage network security tools such as firewalls (Cisco ASA), IDS/IPS systems, SIEM platforms (Splunk, New Relic), and VPN solutions to monitor and defend against cyber threats.
Conduct vulnerability research, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing across IT infrastructure, cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud Platform), and on-premises systems.
Manage identity & access management (IAM) processes using LDAP, Active Directory, SSO protocols, and RBAC policies to ensure secure user authentication and authorization.
Perform incident detection & response activities including threat detection & response, log analysis, threat intelligence integration, and incident recovery procedures.
Harden systems by applying best practices for system security hardening on operating systems like Windows, Linux (Debian, CentOS), macOS, and openSUSE.
Support network engineering tasks such as configuring routing protocols (OSPF, BGP), network installation, load balancing (F5), and network support for high availability environments.

Experience

Proven experience in computer networking concepts including LAN/WAN architecture, TCP/IP protocols, IPsec VPNs, DHCP/DNS management.
Strong background in cybersecurity principles such as vulnerability management, threat detection & response, system security hardening, and incident management.
Hands-on knowledge of network security devices like Cisco routers/switches/Junos devices and Juniper equipment.
Familiarity with cloud infrastructure services (AWS, Azure), virtualization platforms (vSphere), DevOps tools (Terraform, Ansible), and automation scripting in Python or Bash.
Experience working within compliance frameworks such as PCI DSS, FISMA/FedRAMP standards or COBIT governance models.
Ability to perform system administration tasks on various operating systems including Windows Server environments and Linux distributions like Ubuntu or openSUSE.
Strong analytical skills for log analysis using tools like SolarWinds or SolarWinds alternatives; familiarity with computer forensics is a plus.
