Full Job Description

The ideal candidate has a passion for agriculture, excellent communication skills, and a customer-first mindset. This position offers the opportunity to become a trusted advisor to local producers while helping them maximize profitability and crop performance.

Key Responsibilities

Build and maintain long-term relationships with new and existing agricultural customers.
Develop customized crop input recommendations based on field conditions, yield goals, and grower objectives.
Sell and promote seed, fertilizer, crop protection products, biologicals, and precision agriculture services.
Conduct regular farm visits to evaluate crop health and identify opportunities to improve yields and profitability.
Scout fields and provide timely agronomic recommendations throughout the growing season.
Develop annual sales plans to achieve revenue and gross margin goals.
Collaborate with location managers, applicators, operations staff, and agronomists to ensure exceptional customer service.
Stay current on new agronomic technologies, products, and industry trends.
Assist with product demonstrations, customer meetings, educational events, and field days.
Accurately maintain customer records, sales activities, and forecasts using CRM software.
Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or previous sales experience.
Equivalent agricultural sales or agronomy experience will be considered.
Previous experience in agronomy sales, crop consulting, seed sales, or agricultural retail is preferred.
Strong knowledge of corn and soybean production, crop nutrition, and crop protection products.
Excellent relationship-building and communication skills.
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Physical Requirements

Ability to walk fields over uneven terrain.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Frequent driving to customer farms and agricultural operations.
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions during the growing season.
