AUTOMOTIVE SALES CONSULTANT / PRODUCT SPECIALIST

$15/HOUR GUARANTEED BASE + PERFORMANCE BONUSES

LOOKING FOR MORE THAN JUST ANOTHER SALES JOB?

Jones Ford is looking for motivated, customer-focused people to join our sales team. Previous automotive sales experience is welcome, but it is not required. We provide the training, product knowledge, coaching and support you need to succeed.

This is not a commission-only position. Sales Consultants receive a guaranteed base rate of $15 per hour for hours worked, plus opportunities to earn unit bonuses, monthly volume bonuses, appointment bonuses and additional performance-based compensation.

COMPENSATION AND EARNING OPPORTUNITY

Our compensation plan combines the security of a guaranteed hourly base with additional earning opportunities based on individual performance.

The pay plan includes:

Guaranteed base rate of $15 per hour for hours worked
Bonuses for each vehicle sold
Increased monthly bonuses as sales volume grows
Bonuses for generating customer appointments
Additional bonuses when appointments result in vehicle sales
Additional earning opportunities based on individual performance
No cap on total earnings

Total annual compensation can range from approximately $40,000 to more than $100,000, depending on hours worked, sales volume and individual performance.

The complete pay plan will be clearly explained during the interview.

NO AUTOMOTIVE EXPERIENCE? THAT’S OKAY.

Some of the most successful automotive sales professionals started in other customer-facing careers. If you know how to build rapport, listen to customers, follow up consistently and work toward a goal, we can teach you the automotive side of the business.

Experience that can transfer well to automotive sales includes:

Route sales, delivery sales or territory sales
Wireless phone, internet or electronics sales
Furniture, mattress or appliance sales
Retail sales or retail management
Restaurant serving or bartending
Restaurant or hospitality management
Hotel, resort or tourism services

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Welcome customers and help them select vehicles that fit their needs, lifestyle and budget
Respond promptly to phone, internet and showroom inquiries
Learn Ford vehicles, technology and product features
Conduct professional vehicle demonstrations and test drives
Guide customers through the buying process from the initial conversation through vehicle delivery
Follow up with prospective and previous customers by phone, text and email
Develop repeat and referral business
Maintain accurate customer information and follow-up activity
Work with managers and other departments to provide a smooth purchasing experience
Deliver the professional customer service expected at Jones Ford

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Success in this position is more about attitude, dependability and effort than previous automotive experience.

We are looking for people who are:

Comfortable communicating by phone, text and email
Organized and capable of managing multiple customers and appointments

Previous experience in sales, retail, hospitality, restaurants, wireless sales or customer service is helpful, but automotive sales experience is not required.

A valid driver’s license and an insurable driving record are required.
