Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) with specialized expertise in back-office physiotherapy support to join our multidisciplinary healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide exceptional patient care, assist with clinical procedures, and support physiotherapy services in a fast-paced outpatient setting. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will help ensure smooth clinic operations, accurate medical documentation, and positive patient experiences. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to comprehensive healthcare delivery while expanding your skills across various medical disciplines.

Duties

Perform patient intake, including recording vital signs, medical history, and current symptoms with enthusiasm and professionalism
Assist physicians and physiotherapists during examinations, treatments, and procedures by preparing treatment rooms and managing necessary supplies
Support physiotherapy sessions by demonstrating exercises, monitoring patient progress, and ensuring proper use of equipment
Manage electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems), ensuring accurate documentation of patient encounters, treatment plans, and medical records in compliance with privacy regulations
Conduct phlebotomy procedures and medication administration under supervision, adhering to safety protocols and best practices
Assist with hospital medicine tasks such as inpatient charting, ICD coding for diagnoses, and coordinating care across departments when needed
Maintain a clean, organized clinical environment while managing administrative duties such as appointment scheduling, patient follow-up calls, and insurance documentation

Skills

Proven experience in medical office management with a focus on outpatient clinics or hospital settings
Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, and ICD coding standards
Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems for efficient documentation and record-keeping
Excellent patient service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and empathetically across diverse populations including geriatrics and internal medicine patients
Hands-on experience in orthopedics, medical-surgical environments, chiropractic or physical therapy is highly desirable
Basic life support (BLS) certification to ensure readiness for emergency situations
Familiarity with hospital medicine procedures such as OR support or inpatient care is advantageous
Ability to perform vital signs measurement accurately and efficiently in both outpatient and inpatient settings
Knowledge of medical assisting techniques including medication administration, phlebotomy, and medical (scribe) documentation standards
Strong organizational skills to manage multiple responsibilities seamlessly while maintaining high-quality patient care
