Job description:

Rick Case Automotive Group is seeking an Accounting Manager!

This role requires prior experience in the automotive industry. The position is responsible for maintaining accurate financial and accounting records, overseeing period-end closings, and preparing financial reports. It also provides analytical accounting support, including bank reconciliations, accounts receivable, and general accounting functions for one of our dealership locations.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable using a range of office software (including email, spreadsheets, and databases) and capable of handling both administrative and accounting responsibilities with accuracy and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee and review balance sheet reconciliations, resolve discrepancies with staff, and ensure timely completion
Coordinate and prepare for financial audits
Support the CFO with annual budgeting, capital expenditure planning, and related financial activities
Review, investigate, and correct errors or inconsistencies in financial records and reports
Ensure timely monthly accounts receivable billing and review customer reports with management
Complete month-end close processes efficiently and assist with year-end procedures as needed
Assist in preparing monthly budget-to-actual reports and verify expenditures against budgeted line items
Maintain organized office operations and procedures
Ensure all invoices are processed and payments are made on time
Manage the general and administrative budget, ensuring accurate and timely reporting

Qualifications & Skills:

Minimum of 3+ years of experience in the automotive industry
Experience with ADP/CDK is a MUST
Strong understanding of office administration systems and procedures
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook
Excellent time management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Highly organized with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
