Full Job Description

Dentistry at Serenity Cove is looking for a Front Desk Clerk who, at times, will also be expected to provide back-up, Dental Assisting Duties at our state-of-the-art office in Cooper City, FL. We strives to maintain a "stress-free", "get-the-job done" environment. Qualified candidates MUST be resourceful, out-of-the-box thinkers who can harmonize with such an environment.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

Front Desk duties include but are not limited to greeting patients, answering phones, scheduling appointments, verifying patient benefits with insurance companies, processing claim appeals, collecting payments, reinforcing company’s social media presence, and confirming appointments.

Back-up Dental Assisting will be required during times when a Dental Assistant is running behind or out for any particular day. Duties may include but are not limited to providing chairside assistance to dentist during procedures, preparing operatories, taking X-Rays, and sterilization of instruments.

Additional responsibilities of the job also include performing start-of-day and end-of-day routines, and, although we have a dedicated person for office housekeeping outside business hours, all team members are required to contribute to maintaining overall cleanliness of the office during business hours.

REQUIREMENTS

· The interview process may require a second follow-up, working interview.

· Candidates must be able to speak both English and Spanish with a level of fluency that does NOT require the assistance of other peers when communicating with patients, insurance companies, and other types of providers or entities we do business with.

· Candidate must have basic computer skills (Ex: Type letters, enter data in computer apps, navigate the web, etc)

· Candidates must reside within 15 miles of our location of 4714 South Flamingo Rd, Cooper City, FL 33330

· Previous Front Desk or Dental Assisting experiences are welcome but NOT required. We will train the candidate to acquire these skills.

COMPENSATION

The compensation range starts at $16.00/Hr, but ultimately will be defined by the skills and attitude demonstrated through candidate's interview process.

SCHEDULE

Ability to be available for the required hours below is not negotiable

This is a Full-Time position (35 - 40 hours per week). These hours will be assigned throughout the following schedule:

- Mondays and Wednesdays 8:30AM - 6:00PM

- Tuesdays and Thursdays 10:30AM - 8:00PM

- Fridays 8:30AM - 3:00PM

Although DSC does not open on weekends, DSC might be involved in weekend, marketing events once or twice a year. If hired, you will be expected to assist during these events.
