Mama T’s is HIRING a PT Or FT Line Cook!

We are looking for hardworking, dependable, and focused individuals to join our team!

We serve amazing southern comfort food paired with signature cocktails, wine, craft and N/A beer selections. Because our menu stays fresh, our atmosphere fun and inviting, our reputation has made us a regional “destination” location for good eats. We’re a family-oriented business and our team is up-beat and welcoming.

A Line Cook/Prep Cook, is responsible for preparing ingredients at an establishment that serves food, processing customer orders, producing meals and cleaning their workspace throughout the day to follow health and safety guidelines.

Cooks follow recipes consistently, make adjustments based on customer requests, communicate with wait staff and prepare garnishes to make an attractive presentation for each meal.
Cleaning and Sanitizing kitchen workspace.

We’re looking for a minimum of 1-2 years’ experience for our Line Cooks.

Starting pay ranges from $18-$24+/hr. (DOE)+Tips for our Line Cook/Prep Cook position.

Line/Prep Cooks work Wed- Sunday a mix or morning 8 am - 3-4 pm or 1-2 pm - 9 -10 pm up to full time with additional hours and are eligible for paid holidays OFF, vacation and sick time, meal discounts. Hiring 1 PT/FT.

Candidates must either hold a current SERV Safe certification OR be willing to obtain prior to employment.

These roles have physical demands including, but not limited to, 10 LBS OR MORE lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing and use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required.

Line/Prep Cook responsibilities include food prep, following recipes, stocking and cleaning, and preparing menu items to Mama T’s standards.

Duties:
Prepare and cook menu and rotating menu items according to recipes and quality standards
Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies
Ensure that food is prepared in a timely manner and meets quality standards
Follow proper food handling and safety procedures
Assist with the cleaning and organization of the kitchen and work areas
Collaborate with the culinary team to create new dishes and menu items

Collaborate with other kitchen staff, servers, and management to ensure efficient and timely service.

Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a line cook or in a similar role in the food industry
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
- Strong culinary skills, including knife handling and food preparation techniques
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team
- Dependable to work evenings and weekends as required
