Full Job Description

Occupational Therapist (OT) – 42-Week Contract

Location: Federal Way, WA 98003
Contract: 42 Weeks (Possibility of extension)
Job Type: Travel & Local Contract
Pay: Negotiable based on experience and qualifications

Local: $64/hr. W2
Travel: Up to $2,800/week

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM
Hours: 40 hours/week expected.

Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist (OT) to provide school-based occupational therapy services to students in Federal Way, WA. This 42-week contract offers a consistent Monday–Friday schedule and the opportunity to support students in developing the skills needed for success in the school environment.

Responsibilities:

Evaluate students to identify functional, developmental, and educational needs.
Develop and implement individualized occupational therapy goals and treatment plans.
Provide direct and consultative OT services based on student needs.
Support students with fine motor, sensory, visual-motor, and activities-of-daily-living skills.
Monitor student progress and modify interventions as appropriate.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of evaluations, services, and progress.
Collaborate with teachers, families, school staff, and other members of the educational team.
Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student goals and accommodations as needed.
Provide recommendations for classroom strategies, adaptive equipment, and environmental modifications.
Follow applicable state, federal, and school-based regulations and policies.

Qualifications:

Master's degree or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy (MOT/OTD) from an accredited program.
Active Washington State OT license.
School-based or pediatric experience preferred.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to work effectively with students, families, educators, and multidisciplinary teams.
