As a Maintenance & Reliability Manager, you will inherit an established Phoenix-area facility and a maintenance team comprising seasoned professionals and developing technicians. This creates meaningful opportunities to strengthen capabilities, improve systems and processes, and elevate equipment performance. You will lead corrective, preventive, and predictive maintenance programs, asset reliability, planned outages, equipment upgrades, and site infrastructure functions. Strong leadership is needed to reinforce a culture of safety, collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement while meeting financial, quality, environmental, and regulatory expectations.

Essential Job Functions include:

Lead, coach, and develop maintenance and reliability supervisors, technicians, and storeroom support across a mixed-experience team.
Promote a safety-first culture by leading through example, reinforcing PPE and LOTO expectations, and ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, quality, and regulatory requirements.
Maintain a visible presence on the plant floor, working alongside the team and providing leadership and hands-on electrical and mechanical troubleshooting support for high-speed packaging and production equipment.
Establish clear expectations, accountability, feedback, and communication practices that strengthen trust, team performance, and cross-functional collaboration.
Optimize preventive and predictive maintenance strategies using equipment history, production requirements, asset condition, and available technologies.
Lead root cause investigations for recurring failures, breakdowns, safety incidents, and compliance issues, ensuring effective corrective actions are implemented.
Improve CMMS utilization, work-order discipline, downtime reporting, asset history, and KPI reporting across safety, quality, cost, productivity, and equipment performance.
Plan labor and resource deployment for asset reliability, facility maintenance, planned outages, repairs, equipment upgrades, and commissioning activities.
Develop and manage maintenance budgets, plant asset cost centers, contractors, and capital projects.
Oversee storeroom performance, including parts availability, inventory value, inventory turns, cycle-count accuracy, and critical-spares planning.
Partner closely with operations, engineering, procurement, safety, quality, and other departments to coordinate priorities and resolve issues.

Qualifications include:

B.S. in Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering or a related technical discipline preferred.
10+ years of progressive maintenance or reliability experience in a manufacturing environment.
8+ years of managerial or supervisory experience, with demonstrated success leading, coaching, and developing a mixed-experience maintenance team.
Hands-on electrical and mechanical troubleshooting experience with complex electro-mechanical equipment; experience with high-speed packaging, conveying, robotics, or related automated systems is strongly preferred.
Strong working knowledge of HMIs, AC/DC motors, VFDs, soft starters, material-handling systems, and automated production equipment.
Experience with preventive and predictive maintenance, root cause analysis, and structured problem-solving methods.
Capital equipment installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and outage planning experience.
Experience with CMMS or asset-care programs is required.
Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills, with the ability to build trust, establish accountability, and work effectively with operations and other departments.
Proven time management, organizational, data analysis, budgeting, and business skills in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
An independent and creative approach to problem-solving, balanced by the practical ability to evaluate and justify project costs.
A proven safety-first leadership approach, including knowledge of PPE, LOTO, and applicable safety and regulatory requirements.
Continuous improvement training or certification in Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, or TPM preferred.
CMRP, CRL, or another relevant maintenance or reliability certification preferred.
Ability to read or troubleshoot PLC logic is helpful; advanced PLC programming is not required.

Compensation for this position includes an attractive base salary commensurate with experience, annual bonus incentives, full medical/dental benefits, matching 401(k), and paid vacation.
