Job Summary:

Your role is to support and lead the Front Office team through consistent, hands-on supervision of daily operations, ensuring alignment with Delamar Traverse City’s standards of thoughtful, elevated hospitality. As a Front Office Supervisor, you are a visible presence on the floor; guiding team performance, supporting guest interactions, and maintaining operational flow.

You are responsible for executing established procedures, supporting team development, and ensuring that each guest experience is handled with professionalism, efficiency, and attention to detail.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

To supervise the daily operation of the Front Office ensuring adherence to hotel standards and procedures.
To lead by example through active participation in guest check-in, check-out, and service interactions.
To support and direct Front Desk Agents to ensure consistent performance and service delivery.
To handle guest concerns and complaints in a professional and timely manner.
To ensure all guest requests are followed through to completion.
To coordinate with Housekeeping and other departments to maintain room readiness and service flow.
To assist in assigning guest rooms, considering preferences, VIP status, and operational needs.
To support onboarding and on-the-job training of new team members.
To provide real-time coaching and feedback to improve team performance.
To ensure accuracy in guest billing, payments, and adherence to credit policies.
To monitor shift operations and communicate any issues to leadership.
Respond to OTA Online Reviews in the absence of Front Office Leadership.
To maintain knowledge of hotel services, local area, and guest recommendations.
To ensure all safety and emergency procedures are understood and followed.
To assist in maintaining departmental organization, supplies, and cleanliness.
To deputize for the Assistant Front Office Manager in his/her absence and assume his/her responsibilities.
To perform additional duties as directed by Front Office leadership.

Qualifications & Experience

1–3 years of Front Office or Guest Services experience in a hospitality environment.
Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work flexible schedules including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Professional presence with strong interpersonal skills.
Ability to remain composed in a fast-paced environment.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Team-oriented with a focus on collaboration and support.

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand and be actively present for extended periods.
Ability to move throughout the property as required.

Pay: $22.00 - $23.00 per hour
