We are seeking a dependable and experienced Morning Supervisor to oversee daily morning transportation operations, support our drivers, and ensure routes are staffed, coordinated, and completed safely and efficiently.

Job Summary

The Morning Supervisor is responsible for managing the day-to-day morning operations of our school transportation services. This position serves as a key point of contact for drivers and leadership, ensuring timely departures, effective communication, and quick resolution of operational challenges.

The ideal candidate is a strong leader who can remain calm under pressure, make sound decisions quickly, and maintain a safety-first culture while supporting employees and meeting transportation needs.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or college coursework preferred.
Previous supervisory, dispatch, transportation, or team leadership experience preferred (1–3+ years).
Valid Florida Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) required.
Clean driving record and ability to meet company and safety requirements.
Strong communication, leadership, and customer service skills.
Experience managing employee attendance, call-outs, scheduling, and shift coordination.
Ability to organize and prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to make timely decisions.
Ability to work early morning hours, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, etc.).
Reliable transportation and consistent punctual attendance.
Knowledge of safety procedures, company policies, and compliance standards.

Preferred Experience

Experience in school transportation, dispatching, or transportation logistics.
Knowledge of driver scheduling, route coordination, and Department of Transportation (DOT) safety regulations.
Experience communicating with drivers, schools, clients, and transportation personnel.
Ability to respond effectively to route changes, emergencies, staffing shortages, and unexpected operational issues.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee daily morning transportation operations to ensure safe and timely route completion.
Monitor driver attendance and coordinate coverage for call-outs or staffing shortages.
Assist with driver scheduling, route assignments, and daily adjustments as needed.
Communicate with drivers regarding route updates, delays, safety concerns, and operational changes.
Provide leadership, guidance, and support to drivers while maintaining professionalism and accountability.
Ensure compliance with company policies, safety procedures, and transportation regulations.
Respond quickly to operational issues, emergencies, or unexpected changes.
Maintain accurate communication and documentation related to daily transportation activities.
Assist management with improving operational efficiency and maintaining excellent service standards.
