St. Charles Closets is growing, and we're looking for a creative, outgoing Closet Designer / Design Consultant to join our team.
This isn't a job where you'll sit behind a desk designing the same thing every day.
You'll meet with homeowners, step into their spaces, listen to what isn't working, and use your creativity to completely reimagine what's possible. You'll design beautiful, highly functional custom spaces—and have the satisfaction of seeing your ideas become reality in our clients' homes.

What You'll Get to Do
You'll work directly with clients from the first idea through the final design.
- Meet one-on-one with homeowners and learn about their needs, style, and vision
- Measure and evaluate spaces in the home
- Create beautiful, functional custom storage solutions
- Use 3D CAD design software to bring your ideas to life
- Help clients select layouts, finishes, colors, hardware, accessories, and design details
- Present your designs and proposals directly to clients
- Manage your own projects and client relationships
- Collaborate with an experienced team that cares about great design and craftsmanship
- See your designs go from an idea on your screen to a finished space in someone's home
And we're not just designing closets.
Our projects can include luxury walk-in closets, reach-in closets, dressing rooms, pantries, home offices, mudrooms, laundry rooms, entertainment centers, garages, custom cabinetry, and other built-in spaces throughout the home.

Experience Is Great. Potential Matters Too.
Experience in interior design, kitchen & bath design, custom cabinetry, closets, home improvement, furniture, remodeling, or consultative sales is a big plus.
But you don't need to check every box.
Some skills can be taught. We're also interested in finding someone with the personality, creativity, professionalism, and drive to become an exceptional designer.
We're looking for someone who:
- Has design and/or sales experience—or a strong desire to develop those skills
- Has a natural interest in interiors, organization, architecture, or space planning
- Is comfortable with computers and excited to learn 3D CAD design software
- Can confidently communicate ideas and recommendations to clients
- Is willing to learn accurate measuring and space planning
- Is organized, dependable, and able to follow through
- Takes pride in delivering an exceptional customer experience
- Has a positive attitude and enjoys being part of a team
- Is self-motivated and comfortable working independently
- Presents themselves professionally in clients' homes
- Wants to learn, grow, and become great at what they do
