POSITION OVERVIEW
Mojo Stumer Associates is seeking a Junior Interior Designer / Assistant to join our Long Island based architecture studio, working on our diverse portfolio of high-end residential and commercial projects.
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented individual with a willingness to learn and to contribute. The role involves work on all phases of design in a collaborative, team-based environment across a wide range of project types. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of experience working in an architecture firm and should be well versed in communicating their ideas both two- and three-dimensionally.
All projects in our studio undergo a rigorous and exciting process of design, from early explorative concepts through to highly detailed design development. The new team member should be excited by the challenge of developing innovative design solutions for projects of all types and sizes, and by working closely with an energetic team of designers and architects.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Professional interior design degree from an accredited college.
- One year of experience working in an architecture firm.
- Experience in commercial and high-end residential projects.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Excel, and the Adobe Creative Cloud suite.
- Ability to develop working design concepts and client presentations under the supervision of the principal and lead designer.
- Assist in meeting preparations — i.e., set up conference room, upload images and/or furniture in presentation format such as InDesign or Photoshop.
- Maintaining and organizing the Interiors’ Library.
- Preparing client purchase orders and maintaining client files.
- Willingness to learn, to adapt, and to embrace expanding technologies and workflows.
Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
