Job Overview:
We are seeking experienced wedding photographers to join our growing freelance team. This role requires strong creative judgment, adaptability, and the ability to stay composed in fast-paced, emotionally charged environments.
Our photographers bring presence and intention to their work: they are able to read a room, connect easily with people, work independently, and deliver consistent, high-quality coverage across an entire wedding day.
This is a structured, growth-oriented role with clear expectations and long-term opportunity within an established brand.
Responsibilities:
- Capture high-quality photographs of full wedding days with consistency
- Manage time efficiently to ensure comprehensive event coverage
- Adapt calmly to quickly changing timelines, lighting conditions, and client needs
- Communicate clearly with couples, families, planners, and vendors
- Accept feedback and direction as part of ongoing development
- Travel to various event locations as required
Requirements:
- Resume outlining experience as a first/lead wedding photographer (minimum of three full weddings preferred)
- Wedding portfolio featuring real weddings only (no styled or staged shoots)
- Professional, client-facing headshot
- Ability to provide raw image files for review
- Ability to handle a full wedding day solo
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel. Mileage reimbursed at $0.67/mile for travel beyond the first 20 miles.
- Hybrid photo/video experience is a plus, but not required
Equipment Requirements:
- Own a high-quality prosumer or professional camera body (FX3-level or equivalent) no older than 5 years
- Possess any three of the following lenses: 24mm, 35mm, 50mm, 85mm, or a 24mm-70mm zoom lens. (Please include lens details and F-stop or Aperture capabilities when applying)
- Attachable Speed Lite
- Dual card slots
- Strong, reliable low-light performance
Pay & Progression
- Compensation ranges from $45–70/hour, based on role and demonstrated performance.
- Progression is based on completed weddings, gallery review, and demonstrated consistency.
Note: this position is offered on a subcontractor basis; contractors are responsible for their own tax obligations.
