Full Job Description

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Catering Chef to lead the preparation and execution of our lunch drop-off catering service. This role is responsible for menu execution, food production, quality control, and kitchen efficiency, ensuring that all orders are delivered on time, presented professionally, and meet our company’s high standards for taste and consistency.

Key Responsibilities

Menu Execution & Food Preparation
Prepare and cook a variety of menu items for large group orders, focusing on fresh, flavorful, and consistent quality.
Scale recipes for high-volume production while maintaining portion control and quality standards.
Develop and test new lunch menu items in coordination with management.
Order & Production Management
Review daily catering orders and coordinate prep schedules to meet strict delivery timelines.
Ensure packaging, labeling, and presentation meet company and client expectations.
Manage inventory levels, ordering, and rotation of food supplies to minimize waste.
Kitchen Operations
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen in compliance with health and safety regulations.
Supervise and train kitchen staff, assigning tasks to support timely and efficient production.
Implement systems for consistency, efficiency, and quality assurance.
Collaboration & Client Support
Work closely with catering coordinators and drivers to ensure seamless order fulfillment.
Occasionally assist with on-site setup for larger catering events as needed.
Provide input on seasonal specials, cost-effective menu planning, and kitchen workflow improvements.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Catering Chef, Banquet Chef, or high-volume production Chef.
Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
Knowledge of food safety, sanitation standards, and ServSafe certification preferred.
Ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment.
Flexibility to adjust menus and production based on client needs and order volume.
Passion for high-quality food and customer service.

Qualifications:
- Previous experience in catering or bartending is preferred
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Physical stamina to stand, lift, and carry heavy trays or equipment as required
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
