Full Job Description

Burdick Toyota is seeking to add customer-centric individuals to our sales department.

We are seeking organized, friendly individuals who possess a strong desire to build long-term relationships with our customers and our organization. The ideal candidate must also be professional in appearance, have effective communication skills, and possess a strong desire to succeed.

Essential Functions:

Realize that business is built on customer satisfaction and devote himself/herself to guaranteeing satisfaction of customers
Establish personal sales goals that are consistent with dealership standards of productivity, and devise a strategy to meet those goals
Report to the Sales Managers regarding objectives, planned activities, reviews and analyses
Keep abreast of incoming inventory, features, accessories, etc., and how they benefit customers
Deliver vehicles to customers. The delivery process ensures that the customer understands the vehicle’s operating features, warranty and paperwork, and it lays the foundation for customer loyalty
Understand the terminology of the automobile business and keep abreast of technological changes in the product
Know and understand trade equity and values, and be able to explain depreciation to the customer
Know and understand the federal, state, and local laws which govern retail auto sales
Acquire product knowledge to ensure a complete presentation of the vehicles for sale
Use dealership sales techniques
Prospect using dealership records and cold calling techniques to provide adequate sales opportunities and meet objectives
Become skilled at dealing with people in sales situations
Adhere to dealer policies regarding prospecting, product presentation, counseling, demonstration drive, closing, F&I, delivery, and follow-up
Ability to change and accept change in policies and procedures as they occur
Other duties assignedQualifications and Skills:
High school diploma or equivalent
Professional appearance
Excellent customer service skills
Attention to detail
Valid driver's license
Willing to learn additional responsibilities to assist your team
