Full Job Description

Staff Accountant
Salt Lake City, UT, US (On-site)
Salaried - Monday - Friday, 8 am - 5 pm

About the role

We’re looking for our next Staff Accountant. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented self-starter, analytical, and ready to make things happen. The goal of this position is to support the finance team by ensuring complete accuracy in our general ledger activities, maintaining flawless financial records, and driving our month-end and year-end close processes.

What you’ll do:

● Prepare account reconciliations, resolve variances, and support the month-end close.

● Assist in preparing the monthly financial package and financial reports.

● Ensure all vendor payables are accurate and properly reviewed for payment.

● Process Accounts Receivable and actively follow up on outstanding balances.

● Communicate cross-departmentally to help build and streamline processes throughout the company.

● Assist with audits, ensure compliance with internal controls, and handle ad-hoc accounting/finance issues.

What will make you successful in this role

Quickbooks and fishbowl experience preferred

● 2+ years of accounting experience and a Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, finance, or equivalent.

● Proficiency in Microsoft Excel alongside strong analytical, documentation, and problem-solving skills.

● Ability to work autonomously, manage multiple priorities, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

● Detail-oriented approach with strong written and oral communication skills.

● Highly driven mindset, eager to be an integral part of building a high-growth company.

● CPA and/or experience in a technology company is preferred.
