Role:
The Enterprise Solutions Developer is responsible for designing, developing, testing, and supporting enterprise technology solutions that enable member engagement, employee productivity, and operational efficiency across the Credit Union. The role serves as a hands-on developer within the Salesforce ecosystem, with primary responsibility for Salesforce Financial Services Cloud (FSC) development and secondary responsibilities supporting Experience Cloud, MuleSoft integrations, Marketing Cloud initiatives, Marketing Cloud Intelligence (formerly Datorama), and future Data Cloud/Data360 capabilities.
This position partners closely with business stakeholders, analysts, engineers, architects, and external implementation partners to translate business requirements into scalable, secure, and maintainable technical solutions. The developer leverages Salesforce platform technologies, APIs, integration services, and modern development practices to deliver capabilities that align with business objectives and enterprise standards.
The role focuses on software development and solution delivery rather than platform ownership, product management, architecture governance, or system administration. The position is expected to contribute technical expertise, maintain development best practices, and support continuous improvement across the Credit Union's customer engagement and enterprise technology platforms.
Overall, this role helps advance the Credit Union's digital strategy by delivering high-quality solutions that enhance member experience, improve employee effectiveness, and strengthen the organization's ability to leverage data and technology.
Location: Our headquarters are based in Syracuse, NY. We work in a Hybrid Model requiring a minimum of 5 days in office per month.
Hourly Range: This position offers an hourly pay range of $41.40-62.09. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors such as experience, education, and relevant qualifications.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:40% Salesforce Development & Solution Delivery:
- Design, develop, test, and deploy solutions within Salesforce Financial Services Cloud using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Flow, SOQL, SOSL, and declarative platform capabilities.
- Develop custom workflows, automation, business logic, user interfaces, and data processes that support business objectives and operational efficiency.
- Configure and extend Financial Services Cloud functionality, including householding, relationship management, service processes, and member engagement workflows.
- Develop solutions that align with established architecture patterns, security standards, and Salesforce best practices.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve application defects, performance issues, and technical challenges.
- Participate in peer code reviews to ensure solution quality, maintainability, and adherence to development standards.
20% Integration Development & MuleSoft Support:
- Develop and support integrations between Salesforce and enterprise applications using MuleSoft, APIs, web services, and modern integration patterns.
- Build and maintain REST and SOAP-based services, data mappings, and system interfaces.
- Support enterprise data exchange requirements across CRM, core systems, digital banking, marketing platforms, and other business applications.
- Investigate and remediate integration failures, data discrepancies, and performance issues.
- Partner with engineers and vendors to implement integration enhancements and reusable service patterns
15% Customer Engagement Platform Development:
- Support development initiatives related to Experience Cloud, Marketing Cloud integrations, Marketing Cloud Intelligence, and related customer engagement technologies.
- Develop data synchronization processes, automation support components, APIs, and platform integrations supporting customer engagement activities.
- Assist with implementation and ongoing enhancement of marketing analytics, customer data, and engagement capabilities.
- Support future Salesforce Data Cloud/Data360 initiatives through development, data integration, and solution implementation activities.
- Collaborate with business and marketing teams to enable digital engagement objectives through technology solutions.
15% Testing, Release Management & Quality Assurance:
- Develop and execute unit, system, regression, and integration testing activities to ensure solution quality and stability.
- Participate in CI/CD processes, source code management, deployment automation, and release activities.
- Support sprint planning, backlog refinement, and Agile delivery practices.
- Ensure all development activities comply with enterprise change management, security, governance, and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain technical documentation, including solution designs, configuration details, deployment procedures, and support documentation.
10% Collaboration & Continuous Improvement:
- Partner with business stakeholders, analysts, engineers, and vendor resources to refine requirements and deliver effective solutions.
- Participate in solution design discussions and provide technical recommendations regarding Salesforce capabilities and development approaches.
- Remain current on Salesforce platform releases, development frameworks, and emerging ecosystem capabilities.
- Identify opportunities to improve platform performance, development efficiency, user experience, and solution maintainability.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.

Knowledge and Skills:
Experience: 4 to 6 years of experience in enterprise application development, CRM development, software engineering, or platform development roles, including:
- Experience developing solutions on the Salesforce platform using Apex, Lightning Web Components, Flow, and Salesforce APIs.
- Experience supporting Salesforce Financial Services Cloud, Sales Cloud, or Service Cloud environments.
- Experience with API development, enterprise integrations, and MuleSoft or comparable middleware platforms.
- Experience working within Agile software development methodologies.
- Experience with CI/CD tools, source control systems, and structured release management practices.
- Experience supporting customer engagement, marketing technology, or digital experience platforms is preferred.
- Experience within financial services or a regulated industry is preferred.
Education: A bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Salesforce Platform Developer I certification is strongly preferred.
- Salesforce Platform Developer II, Financial Services Cloud, Experience Cloud, Data Cloud, Marketing Cloud, or MuleSoft certifications are desirable.
- Equivalent combinations of education, certifications, and professional experience are encouraged.
Interpersonal Skills: Work involves frequent interaction with internal stakeholders, cross-functional technology teams, vendors, and implementation partners. The role requires the ability to communicate technical concepts effectively, build collaborative working relationships, and contribute to successful project delivery. Discussions may involve confidential information and require diplomacy, sound judgment, and professionalism.
Other Skills:
- Strong proficiency with Salesforce development tools and technologies, including Apex, LWC, Flow, SOQL, SOSL, and Salesforce APIs.
- Understanding of Salesforce Financial Services Cloud data models and platform capabilities.
- Working knowledge of Experience Cloud and customer engagement platform concepts.
- Experience with REST and SOAP APIs, integration patterns, and enterprise system connectivity.
- Familiarity with MuleSoft development and API-led architecture principles.
- Understanding of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, Git, and Azure DevOps.
