Full Job Description

Job Overview

Looking for a highly motivated individual to help with day to day operations in a growing family pattern shop. Pattern work is the design, construction, modification, and repair of tooling used by foundries to produce metal castings.

This job's core hours are Tuesday-Friday 7 AM-3:30 PM.

Duties

Maintain a clean work environment
Working with wood, metals, plastics, and other materials
Use of power tools - table saw, jointer, planer, CNC, bandsaw, drill press, sander
Use of measuring instruments - ruler, square, calipers
Sanding, painting, finishing new or refurbished pattern work
General shop work and keeping spaces organized/clean
Palletize patterns
Assist with continued improvements and completion of shop space
Set up CNC machine
More advanced CNC work (if applicable with experience)

Experience with pattern making is NOT required. We are willing to train the right person.

Qualities of our ideal candidate:

Willingness to learn new tasks
Task oriented
Lift objects (50-75 pounds)
Promptness
Can work independently once trained
Takes pride in the quality of their work
Some knowledge of woodworking is recommended

This is a hands-on position with an opportunity to learn the specialized trade of foundry pattern making.

Pay: From $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32.0 per week

Work Location: In person
