North Seattle College is looking to hire an Associate Dean of Workforce Instruction
Salary Range for this position is $89,000 to $118,000 annually.

As the Associate Dean of Workforce Instruction, you will play a key leadership role in supporting the success of the Workforce Instruction division through collaborative, relationship-centered leadership.
Working closely with the Dean, faculty, and staff, you will help ensure the division operates effectively while driving continuous improvement and innovation. In this role, you will act on behalf of the Dean when delegated, provide leadership and support to division faculty and staff, collaborate on program, division, and college-wide planning and operations, and build strong partnerships with internal and external stakeholders. Together, these efforts will help create high-quality learning experiences and support students in achieving successful educational and employment outcomes.

What you will be working on:
As delegated by the Dean of Workforce Instruction, the Associate Dean is responsible for the following essential functions:

Oversee Workforce Instruction faculty, staff, and instructional operations, including supervision, hiring, training, coaching, scheduling, and performance management.

Manage faculty assignments and staffing in compliance with collective bargaining agreements.

Support faculty in curriculum development, outcomes assessment, program review, onboarding, professional development, and tenure processes.

Coordinate with faculty program coordinators on scheduling, pathways initiatives, campus events, advisory committees, and other academic activities.

Respond to student concerns and complaints and approve academic requests such as grade changes, course substitutions, and Prior Learning Assessments.

Collaborate with the Dean on strategic planning, budget monitoring, enrollment management, schedule development, and operational effectiveness.

Analyze enrollment, retention, completion, and student success data to improve program outcomes and address equity gaps.

Lead and support grants, accreditation activities, facilities management, marketing, outreach, and maintenance of program information platforms such as Career Bridge.

Build and maintain partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, including student services, industry advisors, community organizations, international programs, and workforce leaders across the district.

Demonstrate leadership through a commitment to Access, Community and Opportunity (ACO); participate in professional development and workforce leadership groups; ensure compliance with collective bargaining agreements; and serve as acting Dean when needed.
What you bring as a candidate:

Master¿s Degree or higher in an education-related, health-related, business-related, or administration-related field.

Demonstrated experience, commitment to and professional development in values of equity, diversity, inclusion and community.

Demonstrated proficiency in supervision of personnel as well as project planning, management and implementation in order to meet high level deliverables within efficient timelines.
- Demonstration of strong interpersonal skills to foster a positive work culture and environment, encourage teamwork and collaboration, and manage conflict.

Proficiency in communication skills when interfacing with varied stakeholders, through both verbal and written communications.

Experience with anticipating, prioritizing, and managing tasks while respecting the personalities, experiences, and competing priorities of a diverse audience;

Experience with utilizing quantitative and qualitative data to inform assessment and planning.

Demonstrated experience with proactively receiving and utilizing feedback to adapt and improve in carrying out job duties.
