Trust & Estate Tax Preparer

Our Tax & Accounting Practice

We’re a small and thriving practice, located in Lakewood. As the owner, I’m very proud of what our small team has built, and the wonderful clients we serve in so many unique industries. We’re actively involved every day with our clients. To ensure we help our clients achieve their goals, I personally believe in training and developing each person on the team. It’s been so rewarding to watch them grow personally, as well as, professionally over the years.

What We’re Looking For: Trust & Estate Tax Preparer

The person who’s leading this department is retiring. She’s done a wonderful job, and we’ve appreciated her years in helping our clients. As we look for a new person, we realize this area could serve more clients.

In addition to managing our client base, you’d be comfortable expanding this area further.

Let’s start with your qualifications.

Your Qualifications

Experience preparing trust and estate tax returns is required.
Strong knowledge of fiduciary income tax laws and regulations.
CPA, EA, or other relevant credential preferred (but not required with equivalent experience).
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Experience with professional tax software.

Your Responsibilities

Prepare federal and state fiduciary income tax returns (Forms 1041 and related schedules).
Prepare estate and gift tax returns when needed.
Review trust and estate accounting records and financial statements.
Communicate directly with fiduciaries, attorneys, financial advisors, and clients.
Research complex tax issues and ensure compliance with current tax laws.
Provide exceptional client service while meeting deadlines during tax season.
