Job Summary:
The Social Media Specialist plans, coordinates, and executes social media and website content strategy across the UKB Federal Corporation's suite of businesses, working in direct coordination with each business unit to align content, brand voice, and campaign execution with unit-level goals. The role covers both social media channels and business unit websites: capturing original photo and video content, editing video for publication, designing graphics, and keeping website content current. The position is an employee of Echota Data & Design (EDD) and provides digital media and creative production services throughout the UKBFC portfolio, including:

Primary Responsibilities:
Strategy & Execution
-
Plan, coordinate, and execute social media strategy in direct collaboration with each UKBFC business unit.

Maintain a coordinated content and campaign calendar across all business units, sequenced to unit-level priorities and brand standards.

Monitor performance metrics across platforms and report results to business unit stakeholders and EDD leadership.
Creative Production

Design social media and web graphics directly using Canva, Adobe Photoshop, or comparable image generation software.

Capture original photo and video content on location at UKBFC business units for use in social media and on business unit websites.

Edit video for publication across social media platforms and embedded website use, including trimming, captioning, color correction, and platform-specific formatting.

Coordinate with EDD's design-as-a-service vendor (BuzzCube) on creative production that exceeds in-house capacity or requires specialized production.

Maintain brand consistency across all business unit accounts and websites, in line with EDD brand standards.
Website Content

Update and publish content on UKBFC business unit websites (WordPress), including text updates, imagery, and embedded video.

Coordinate website content updates with each business unit and with Bliss Web Solutions on SEO and technical considerations.

Ensure website content stays current with active promotions, campaigns, and business unit announcements.
Paid & Organic Media

Plan, build, and manage paid campaigns on Meta Ads Manager and LinkedIn Ads.

Schedule and publish organic content using native platform scheduling tools across all managed accounts.

Adjust targeting, budget, and creative based on campaign performance data.
Administrative
-
Prepare and submit invoicing for Social Media Specialist services rendered to individual UKBFC business units.

Prepare and submit invoicing for Echota Data & Design services rendered to UKBFC business units.
-
Maintain accurate records of billable time and deliverables by business unit.

Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
-
Bachelor's degree preferred with a concentration in marketing, journalism, public relations, or related field.
License/Certifications:
-
No professional license or certifications required.
Experience:
-
Demonstrated experience in social media management, digital marketing, or a related field.

Direct design proficiency in Canva, Adobe Photoshop, or comparable software — able to produce finished graphics without routing every asset through a vendor.

Experience capturing photo and video content on location, including basic lighting, composition, and audio.
-
Proficiency editing video for social and web publication using Adobe Premiere Pro, CapCut, or comparable software.

Working knowledge of Meta Ads Manager and LinkedIn Campaign Manager, including campaign setup, targeting, and budget management.

Experience with native platform scheduling tools (e.g., Meta Business Suite, LinkedIn scheduling, or equivalent).
-
Working experience publishing and updating content in WordPress.

Experience supporting multiple distinct brands or business units under one marketing umbrella preferred.

Portfolio demonstrating short-form video work produced for social or web a plus.

Experience working with external design or marketing vendors in a coordinated production model preferred.

Experience in tribal, Indigenous-owned, or public-sector-adjacent enterprises.

Ability to manage multiple brands and business units concurrently without loss of brand fidelity.

Basic understanding of invoicing and billable-time documentation.

Strong written communication and ability to work directly with business unit leadership.

Follow all guidelines, regulations, standards, and Federal state and tribal policies.
- Must possess a valid Oklahoma Driver’s license and a clear background check.

Ability to operate standard office equipment and computer hardware.

Basic photography/videography equipment ownership or willingness to work with provided equipment.
