Full Job Description

Emerald Technologies has an exciting opportunity for a Test Technician to join its Medford team! The Test Technician I is responsible for performing medium-to-high-complexity tests, identifying failures, and resolving them through component-level troubleshooting, ensuring the product meets required functionality and quality standards. This applies to PCBAs or higher-level assemblies.

Responsibilities:

Perform Flying probe (FPT), in-circuit (ICT), or Functional (FCT) tests of basic to medium complexity products. Operate test stations and follow documented procedures
Set up basic to medium complexity test fixtures/environments for their use or for test operators
Verify the calibration status, if required, of the equipment in use
Use electronic test equipment, like DMM, PSU, programmers, etc. to perform assigned tasks
Train and support junior team members, as required
Troubleshoot to the component level the failures identified by the test operators and other test technicians within the test fixtures or other suitable setups
Maintain accurate records of test results and production data

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in electronics preferred (A+ or equivalent)
0–2 years of experience in electronics manufacturing
Understanding of electronic components and circuits, ability to read electronics schematics
IPC-600, IPC-610, or J-STD-001 certification preferred, but not required
Excellent attention to detail and willingness to learn
Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office and test documentation tools
