Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Orthodontic Receptionist to join our dental team! In this vital role, you will be the friendly face and first point of contact for patients, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience from the moment they walk through the door. Your energetic approach and exceptional organizational skills will help coordinate patient appointments, manage medical records, and support the clinical team. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a fast-paced, patient-centered environment dedicated to delivering outstanding orthodontic care.

Duties

Greet patients warmly and provide excellent customer service at the front desk, ensuring a positive first impression
Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments using an electronic scheduling system (Greyfinch)
Manage patient check-in and check-out process
Handle phone inquiries with professional phone etiquette, directing calls appropriately and providing information as needed
Assist with dental billing and collection processes
Coordinate patient intake procedures, including collecting necessary documentation
Perform clerical tasks such as data entry, typing, filing, and maintaining office supplies to ensure smooth office operations
Uphold strict confidentiality policies regarding patient health information in accordance with HIPAA regulations

Skills

Experience in medical or dental office reception is preferred
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively via phone and in person
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for documentation review and record keeping
Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced clinic environment while maintaining professionalism
Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse patient populations
Familiarity with dental clinic operations and experience in a healthcare setting is preferred
Competence in Microsoft Office applications for administrative tasks such as scheduling and correspondence
Knowledge of clinical confidentiality policies to ensure compliance with privacy regulations
