North Florida Therapy Services is seeking a Pediatric Occupational Therapist to join our team!

This is an IN-PERSON position only. We currently do not have any remote positions available. We are unable to provide relocation assistance.

Founded in 2012, North Florida Therapy Services serves Gadsden, Leon and surrounding counties. Originally founded as a Speech therapy clinic, it has grown over the years to also provide Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, and most recently, Applied Behavior Analysis, or Behavior Therapy. Currently North Florida Therapy Services has two clinics in Quincy, Florida, in addition to a daycare and private school, and also serves children in the natural environment (home/school/daycare) in the surrounding communities.

Occupational Therapist Assignment Details:

Full-time or Part-time hours available, with a set schedule

Choice of being a W-2 or 1099 contract position

Position Summary:

The Pediatric Occupational Therapist provides individualized evaluation and intervention services to support the development, independence, and well-being of children at North Florida Therapy Services. This role focuses on helping children achieve success in their occupations by improving their occupational performance at school, home and in the community. The therapist collaborates closely with educators, interdisciplinary team members, and families to design and implement individualized treatment plans that promote functional skills. The therapist maintains accurate documentation, monitors progress toward goals, and advocates for each child’s needs in alignment with evidence-based practice and professional standards of care.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Evaluate and treat children birth-21 years of age with varied support needs in the clinic, pre-school, school, and home.
Create individualized treatment plans that outline specific intervention goals.
Collaborate with families to develop an individualized, client-centered plan of care.
Interdisciplinary collaboration between speech language pathologists, physical therapists, ABA professionals, and special education teachers to provide effective individualized services.
Provide screening and therapy services as assigned.
Maintain all records and reports required by the department and agency.
Other duties as assigned.

Expectations:

Complete documentation within appropriate time frames.
Utilize current evidence-based practice strategies.
Maintain collaborative relationships with team members, department members, supervisors, staff, parents, and outside agencies.
Provide direct, general-routine supervision of experienced COTAs.
Utilize a strengths-based approach in all communication with professionals, families, and when writing documentation.
Demonstrate reliability in attendance, punctuality, and task completion.

Qualifications:

Master’s degree in occupational therapy (or Bachelor’s degree for graduates prior to 2007) from an ACOTE accredited occupational therapy program
Eligible for licensure to practice in Florida
Intensive education and clinical expertise
Pediatric Occupational Therapist with a minimum of 1-year experience
Willingness to supervise Therapy Assistants or students is preferred
Flexibility to provide child-led therapy to a caseload with varied support needs
Eligible for licensure to practice in Florida
Intensive education and clinical expertise
Ability to manage patients with different types of personalities
Current knowledge of treatment practices
Drive to continually learn and grow
Professional behavior
Excellent interpersonal communication skills

Work Environment:

Services may be provided in clinics, and/or school settings
May involve physical activity and behavioral interventions requiring quick response and safety awareness.

Physical Demands:

Ability to sit, stand, kneel, and move quickly to keep pace with clients during sessions.
Ability to lift or physically support clients as necessary.
Ability to implement crisis intervention techniques as trained.

Pay: $45.00 - $50.00 per hour
