Full Job Description

Position Overview

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support engineering and design efforts within an active industrial plant environment. This role will focus on piping and structural design, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to support ongoing plant projects and modifications. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience from industries such as oil & gas, paper mills, or similar heavy industrial settings, along with strong proficiency in 3D design tools.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and modify mechanical designs for piping and structural systems within an industrial plant
Support design and drafting efforts using CREO, AutoCAD, and Plant 3D
Interpret and create engineering drawings, layouts, and specifications
Collaborate with engineering teams, designers, and field personnel to support project execution
Assist with design reviews and ensure alignment with project requirements and standards
Apply industry best practices in mechanical and plant design
Support ongoing plant operations through design improvements and updates

Required Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) from an accredited university
Experience with piping and structural design in an industrial environment
Proficiency with CREO and AutoCAD
Familiarity with Plant 3D
Experience working in oil & gas, paper mills, or similar heavy industrial environments
Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder
Must be able to pass drug and background screening
Ability and willingness to work 100% onsite in St. Marks, FL

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Revit
Background supporting projects within active/operating industrial plants
Familiarity with applicable industry codes and standards (ASME, etc.)
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Ability to work both independently and in a team environment

Pay: $55.00 - $70.00 per hour
