Full Job Description

Department

Office of Strategic Outreach & Recruitment in the Anne Spencer Daves College of Education, Health, and Human Sciences

Responsibilities

Assist with the coordination and implementation of event tasks, including but not limited to the creation of site maps, timelines, RSVP invitations, decorations, setup, and teardown
Coordinate with third-party vendors to communicate event logistics and support event planning and execution
Maintain, properly store, and secure College-owned assets between events
Effectively problem-solve before, during, and after events
Compile post-event surveys and record recommendations for improvement
Participate in event planning meetings as required
Respond timely and with thoughtful feedback to questions from event attendees
Ensure a high level of customer service for all event attendees
Track day-of-event volunteer participation and maintain volunteer database
Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

High School/equivalent and two years of experience

Ability and desire to collaborate and communicate with staff, faculty, and leadership as required verbally, in writing, and in-person
Ability to work with various team members, vendors, and volunteers in a professional and respectful manner
Must have the ability to lift 40 lbs.
Knowledge of Microsoft applications and technology
Must have a flexible work schedule; event days and times will vary and often occur during evenings and weekends
Must have reliable transportation to and from events
