Full Job Description

At The Children’s Forum, we are dedicated to ensuring that children across Florida grow and thrive in high-quality environments, and that families have access to resources and support in their parenting journey. As a statewide not-for-profit organization, we focus on empowering those who care for and educate our children, especially the early learning workforce.

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Project Manager to serve as the central coordinator for the implementation of our Center for Early Childhood Professional Recognition. This position plays a pivotal role in advancing our mission by translating complex project plans into clear action steps, driving accountability, and ensuring leadership has the timely information needed for strategic decision-making. The Project Manager will report to the Chief Innovation Officer and collaborate across internal teams and external partners.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain the Center implementation project work plan, schedule, milestone tracker, decision log, risk register, and actionitem followup process.
Coordinate meetings for the executive sponsor, project director, workstream leads, and advisory and implementation teams — including agendas, notes, followup items, and documentation.
Track progress across major workstreams: governance, policy and standards design, competencybased assessment development, operations and technology, stakeholder engagement, communications, and launch readiness.
Prepare concise project updates, dashboards, leadership briefings, and meeting summaries that communicate progress, risks, upcoming decisions, and next steps.
Identify implementation risks, dependencies, and barriers; escalate issues promptly and support mitigation planning.
Develop and support governance tools including project charters, RACI matrices, steering committee materials, issue logs, and changecontrol processes.
Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to support timely feedback, participation, and task completion.
Maintain organized project records, version control, shared files, and documentation for accountability, reporting, and continuity.
Support pilot readiness activities, including participant tracking, reviewer preparation, issue tracking, feedback collection, and refinement planning.

Job Requirements:

Strong project management skills including scheduling, task tracking, meeting facilitation, followup, documentation, and risk management.
Ability to manage multiple workstreams, deadlines, and contributors in a complex implementation environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare clear summaries, updates, and briefing materials.
Strong attention to detail, followthrough, and organization with the ability to create order from ambiguity.
Ability to build collaborative relationships with internal teams, external partners, subjectmatter experts, and stakeholders.
Proficiency with common project management and productivity tools, including shared calendars, spreadsheets, document management systems, collaboration platforms, and presentation tools.

Desired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Experience in early childhood, education, workforce development, nonprofit operations, or statelevel implementation initiatives.
Experience supporting policy implementation, program launch, quality assurance, training systems, credentialing, or approval processes.
Project management certification, training, or demonstrated use of formal project management methods.
Experience developing dashboards, trackers, action logs, implementation calendars, or executive status reports.
