Purpose of Position:
This position will be responsible for monitoring and documenting Del Monte’s Quality and Food and Safety Programs. In this role, will also be responsible for the implementation of, and adhere to, all Quality, Food Safety and Sanitation guidelines.
Accountabilities:

Perform quality inspections of fresh produce, evaluating product condition, appearance, integrity, identification, and compliance with Del Monte quality standards.

Work in different areas of the operation, including warehouse areas, cold storage rooms, receiving, internal product movement, and fruit loading activities, with the objective of ensuring that products meet pre-established quality and food safety standards.

Support the collection of data, information, and evidence related to Quality Assurance activities, R&D trials, inspections, audits, certifications, and regulatory processes, always under the guidance of the immediate supervisor or QA management.

Support traceability-related activities, including physical location, verification, and identification of products previously defined by QA management within warehouse and operational areas.

Learn, understand, and apply Del Monte quality standards, procedures, and criteria, recognizing defects, deviations, inconsistencies, and non-conformance situations.

Communicate deviations related to product quality, food safety, identification, packaging, or product condition to the immediate supervisor, supporting the execution of necessary corrective actions as directed by QA management.

Verify packaging condition, labeling, product identification, and product presentation to ensure compliance with applicable internal, commercial, and regulatory requirements.

Work collaboratively with Operations, Warehouse, Logistics, and QA teams to support product quality throughout the operational process.

Maintain a professional attitude, attention to detail, discipline in following procedures, and appropriate communication with the team and supervision.

Be available to work weekends and flexible schedules according to operational needs.
Minimum Skills Required:

High School diploma or equivalent required, sufficient to understand work instructions, record operational information, and communicate clearly in writing

Ability to use electronic devices such as computers, tablets, handheld devices, or similar systems used in Quality Assurance activities.

Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, especially Outlook, Word, and Excel, is important but not limited to these programs.

Good oral and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly report information, deviations, observations, and operational needs to the immediate supervisor and the team.

Ability to maintain a professional attitude, collaboration, and appropriate communication in a dynamic, multidisciplinary, or high-pressure operational environment.

Ability to work as part of a team, follow instructions, comply with established procedures, and adapt to operational needs.

Previous experience with fresh produce, fruits, vegetables, warehouses, cold storage, distribution centers, logistics, quality control, or related operational areas will be considered a plus but is not required.

Experience or familiarity with products such as pineapple, banana, plantains, melons, watermelons, or other fresh produce will be considered a plus.

Previous experience with quality inspections, audits, certifications, regulatory inspections, or food safety programs will be considered beneficial.

Bilingual communication skills will be considered a plus but are not required.

Previous experience in port, vessel, import, or export operations will be considered beneficial but is not required. Specific operational procedures will be taught through company-provided training.

Willingness and interest to learn a specific technical function through company-provided training, demonstrating commitment to professional development and to a stable, long-term position.

Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout operational areas for extended periods of time.

Ability to work in refrigerated environments, cold storage rooms, and warehouse areas according to operational needs.

Ability to lift, move, or handle products and materials up to 50 pounds when necessary.

Ability to perform repetitive movements, including bending, reaching, lifting, walking, and handling product samples.

Ability to work safely in an active operational environment, following company safety, quality, and good practice procedures.
