POSITION OVERVIEW
The Professional Relationship Manager is responsible for community engagement and managing and growing a portfolio of individuals and small business clients within their given market. The Professional Relationship Manager will focus on identifying opportunities to add value to the personalized client experience. This position will collaborate with bankers and support staff to deliver high quality service. The Professional Relationship Manager is accountable for calling activity, proposal generation, revenue generation, risk mitigation, and the ability to build successful relationships.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the local business development activities to promote the Bank’s products and services, ensure the maintenance of the Bank’s favorable image, and develop total banking relationships with existing and potential professional banking clients.
- Develop a network of referral sources and Centers of Influence in the market to support business development.
- Represent the Bank in industry and professional associations, community organizations, local business groups, etc., and promote the Bank's favorable image. Stay current on trends in the market place.
- Manages a Professional Banking portfolio with emphasis on growth and retention through a systematic client contact strategy.
- Establish joint calling efforts with Commercial and Treasury partners to identify and deepen relationships within the
Commercial and Professional Banking Portfolios.
- Identify prospects and use a value added sales approach by utilizing research and bank provided tools and resources.
Proactively promote and explain all products and services offered through the bank with an emphasis on technology based solutions.
- Leads by example when it comes to utilizing the tools and resources provided by the bank in the area of sales process and client management. Consistently exceed expectations when it comes to activity that drives results.
- Partner with Professional Banking support team and internal partners to deliver a high level of client service with an emphasis on exceeding expectations and urgency.
- Achieve the goals assigned in the areas of loan, deposits, and new client acquisition.
- Fulfill responsibilities under the Bank Secrecy Act and Anti-Money Laundering regulations. This may include identifying customers properly, initiating CTRs and SARs investigations as needed, utilizing OFAC records and maintaining appropriate records.
- Adheres to Bank’s policies and procedures and all Federal and State laws and regulations.
- Perform ALL other duties, as assigned.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, preferably in Business Administration, Finance, or Marketing fields.
- Five years of successful sales related work experience required, preferably in the banking industry.
- Proficiency in Excel, Word and Outlook preferred.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL ACTIVITES
- General office environment that requires the extensive use of arms, hands, and fingers.
- Frequently required to sit for extended periods of time, reach with arms and hands, stand, walk, stoop, talk and hear.
- May be required to lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
