Job Overview

We are seeking an energetic and motivated Activity Leader to inspire and engage participants through dynamic recreational programs and activities. In this role, you will design, organize, and facilitate a variety of fitness, sports, and wellness activities that promote health, teamwork, and fun. Your enthusiasm and expertise will help create a positive environment where individuals of all ages can thrive, learn new skills, and achieve their personal goals. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to lead diverse programs while fostering community spirit and encouraging active lifestyles.

Responsibilities

Develop innovative activity programs tailored to different age groups and skill levels, ensuring inclusivity and safety.
Lead group fitness classes, sports coaching sessions, and wellness workshops with energy and professionalism.
Ensure all activities comply with health and safety standards, including manual handling procedures, first aid protocols, and AED operation.
Provide clear instruction on biomechanics, body mechanics, strength training techniques, and anatomy to maximize participant safety and effectiveness.
Monitor participants during activities to prevent injuries; administer first aid or CPR as needed.
Maintain equipment safety checks and proper setup for all activities; manage weight handling in the workplace safely.
Collaborate with team members to evaluate program success and implement improvements based on participant feedback.

Experience

Proven experience in fitness center operations, group fitness instruction, or sports coaching.
Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, biomechanics, body mechanics, and health club best practices.
Certified in CPR/AED; additional certifications such as First Aid or Manual Handling are highly desirable.
Demonstrated ability to develop engaging programs that motivate diverse groups of participants.
Experience in personal training or strength training instruction is a plus.
Familiarity with gym equipment use, program design, and sports coaching techniques.
Prior work in a health club or fitness environment that emphasizes safety standards like weight handling in the workplace.
